Grapeseed oil is extracted, as the name implies, from the seeds of grapes. It is typically exported from France, Italy or Switzerland.
While some grapeseed oils have a light grape-like flavor and fragrance, most are flavorless making them a versatile ingredient.
Because grapeseed oil has a relatively high flash point it's a good choice for sautéing. But be advised: grapeseed oil is high in omega-6 fats which promote inflammation.
