Beans, Fava

About This Food

Fava beans, also known as broad beans or butter beans (among many other names), are a green legume that grows inside of a pod. One of the oldest plants known, they’re famed for their creamy, rich flavor and nutrient density.

Not only are fava beans a great source of protein, they contain high levels of thiamin, vitamin K, vitamin B-6, potassium, copper, selenium, zinc and magnesium.
