Hemp protein, made from the hemp seeds of the cannabis plant, is extremely high in nutrients, fiber and, of course, protein.
Despite coming from the same family, hemp protein and other hemp products do not contain the active ingredient tetrahyrdocannabinol (THC) found in marijuana. Hemp is one of the few vegetarian sources of complete protein, meaning it contains all of the amino acids necessary for optimal digestion and nutrient absorption.
Hemp protein is also one of the only sources of alpha-linolenic acid, a plant source of omega-3 that helps our bodies reduce inflammation and lower the risk of cardiovascular conditions. On top of keeping you regular and helping you feel more satiated, the high fiber content helps to balance blood sugar and promote overall health.
