[hih-BAH-chee] Hibachi is the Japanese word for "fire bowl". This cooking instrument is typically a small cast-iron container made for holding fuel, with a grill grate that sits on top of the bowl.  

Take caution when grilling, broiling or cooking meats as this causes the formation of HCAs.
