Cholecystokinin (CCK)

library / Cholecystokinin (CCK)

Cholecystokinin (CCK) is an endocrine hormone secreted by cells in part of the stomach (the mucosa of the duodenum the jejunum) as well as by the hypothalamus.

Eating stimulates CCK secretions by both the stomach and central nervous system simultaneously. And when CCK is released, it creates a feeling of satiety.
