In a small spice grinder or Magic bullet, pulse the garlic and onion pwder, salt and oregano to a fine powder.
Place drumsticks on a sheet pan in a single layer.
Place in refrigerator for 2 hours to air dry. (This will help produce a crispy skin. You can omit this step for time.)
When ready to bake, preheat oven to 425 F.
Place the chicken in a large bowl. Rub with spice mixture and then drizzle with oil.
Top baking sheet with a wire rack. Arrange chicken legs in a single layer.
Transfer to oven and bake 20 minutes. Rotate and bake another 20 minutes until crisp and cooked through to temperature of 165 F.
