Bromelain

library / Bromelain

Bromelain is a proteolytic (protein-digesting) enzyme derived from the pineapple plant.

Research shows that bromelain helps to make platelets (compounds in blood) less likely to stick together and form a dangerous clot.

As an enzyme, bromelain helps to digest dead cells and facilitates the healing of injuries.
