Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
Place halved acorn squash on a baking sheet. Place 1 tablespoon of butter, roughly half a teaspoon coconut sugar, 1/8 teaspoon of nutmeg and 1/8 tsp. sea salt in each half.
Bake until golden and tender, about 1 hour to 1 hour 15 minutes, basting flesh several times with melted butter mixture.
Remove from oven, garnish with pecans. Serve.
