Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
Lay the sweet potatoes on a sheet pan in a single layer and drizzle with the olive oil.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, until crisp and tender. While the potatoes are cooking, combine the remaining ingredients in a large mixing bowl, using your fingers to thoroughly mix them.
Form the mixture into 4 inch rounds. Grill on a hot grill for 15 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time.
The burgers are done when flecks of gray fat appear on the meat.
Serve the burgers alongside the sweet potatoes.
